One is a 8570w with 8 gigs of ram. Also i have used the smaller 8530 and 8560w. all run fantastic! The trick is finding supported chipsets. The use of EXSI is optional, there are plenty of options out there like Xen, Hyper-V etc. If you are not building a critical server you can use alot of other laptops if you go with Xen. You still need to stick to as much ram as you can. bare min. is 4 gigs, Shoot for 8 Gigs being a minimum. The beautiful thing about using monster laptops, it cuts down on loud 4U racks running in my office:)

4 Laptops running EXSI
14 VMs
2 Labs
1 Zoneminder VM for sec. Cams 🙂

Comment on Epson Ink Tank Printers – Review and Hands-on Experience by Jeetendra Jagwani http://www.it4nextgen.com/epson-ink-tank-printers-review/#comment-12842 Tue, 16 Oct 2018 07:03:34 +0000 http://www.it4nextgen.com/?p=1812#comment-12842 I would suggest you shelve the plan of an ink jet printer if its going to be packed up for 2-3 months. It just doesn’t make sense. The nozzles will get blocked for sure and you can only unblock them so much. So this is not for you. Not just Epson or ink tank printers…but none of the ink jet printers from any brand will suit your requirement. Stick to tried and tested mono laser. You print one page a year or 5000 a month, same speed, predictable and reliable. Because there s no liquid ink to be clogging up. And color laser is way too expensive to consider.

But you have to be printing at least that much to keep the nozzles of the print head clear. Else you can use the inbuilt head cleaning option. But after a while it will just get too clogged for that also to work. And replacing the print head is just slightly less expensive that buying a new printer. So thats not a feasible option. Also if you clean the head cleaning feature very often, then you will also end up using a lot ink in the process. So buy it, if you will print atleast 10-20 pgs a week.
