How to Find Top Android Apps that Drain Phone Battery

Are you eager to know about the android apps that drain your battery quickly? You can easily find these culprit apps on your Android phone and take the relevant action to increase its battery life. There are certain apps that keep on running in the background even if we close them on the screen. These battery-hungry apps not only drain the battery but also eats up the internet data pack since most of them use the internet to keep updated, track location, or other information. In this article, I will guide you on how to find those apps which drain the battery on an Android phone. Next, I will list the worst battery-sucking apps, you should definitely avoid running.

Manage Battery Resources

Option-1 Android Settings

Go to settings and tap on battery. (In Samsung smartphones, you need to navigate to settings>Device maintenance> Battery).

Here you can see the total percentage of battery used in graphical form and on the same screen, you can see a list of all the current battery-draining apps.

Note: In some smartphones, you need to turn on the notifications regarding battery draining apps in battery settings as shown in the image below.

You can click on the apps and either force stop or disable them if you are not using the app now. In case you no longer intend to use this app in the future you can uninstall it too.

Option-2 Using 3rd party apps

There are many apps available on the Android Play store that can detect and stop the battery draining apps automatically. Some of these apps are.

AVG Cleaner

This is a free app and is a complete suite to maintain the battery life throughout the day. It tells you all the resources including apps that eat up the battery and prompts you to take the necessary action. It also features cache cleaner, duplicate photo cleaner, and large file cleaning.

Naptime Saver

Well, why do you worry when the real battery saver is here? The naptime is the best battery saver application available freely. You can also buy the paid version of the application. If you use several applications and it becomes difficult to save the battery or your phone sleep till morning, this application is for you only. It helps reduce your device’s power consumption so that you can utilize the phone. With this in your phone, your phone’s battery lowers the battery drainage, and hence your phone does not eat up the battery unnecessarily.

There are basically two types of applications that run on our Android phones. There are some apps that are initiated or run by users. While some apps run automatically during phone startup.
