Smartphone manufacturer brand honor has come up with their new line of Honor Magic VS devices, which is a new foldable smartphone with the latest version of MagicOs. Honor is known to release smartphones with the best quality screens, cameras, battery life, and sound clarity features.
This has been retained in the newly launched devices, too, and the devices have a similar design to the Galaxy Z Fold devices from Samsung. Honor CEO George Zhao is quite confident about the newly launched devices.
He has reportedly said that the devices would be their first foldable flagship debuting in the overseas market. They are confident that it would deliver huge advancements and enhance their overall experiences.
Although the international pricing and other important details are yet to be announced, China has reportedly leaked the prices, which would start at ¥7,499 (around $1,048) for the 8GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage variants. It is expected that the devices will be launched early next year. So let us dig into the features and specifications of the smartphone to find out what we can expect from these devices.
Design and Display
Honor Magic VS has a 7.9-inch OLED display and a 90 HZ refresh rate. The external display is 6.45” OLED, with a pixel resolution of 2560×1080. It supports 800 nits brightness and has HDR10+ support. The refresh rate is 120 Hz, and there is also added support for HDR10+. Also, Honor claims that the devices have been tested with 400,000 folds, which is adequate for more than ten years of smartphone usage.
Software and Internal specifications
Honor Magic VS has the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a powerful flagship processor. The two variants of Honor Magic VS that will be available are- 12/256 GB and 12/512 GB. There will also be another newly added version with 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Also, these devices come with MagicOS 7.0, running on Android 12.
Cameras
Honor Magic VS has a triple-camera setup with an F/1.9 lens and a 54MP Sony IMX800 sensor. Users also get an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. There is also a 50 MP ultra wide-angle camera, acting like a macro lens. Honor Magic VS also has an f/2.45 aperture and a 16MP resolution.
Battery
Although Honor Magic VS has a sleek overall body finish, these devices come with a 5000 mAh battery. Also, users get a 66W fast charging mode that can charge up to 100% in just 46 minutes!
Honor Magic VS would be released in three primary colors- orange, cyan, and black. There would also be two other color variants in the shades of golden and black. The probable pricing of the 8/256 GB variant would be $1120, and the 12/512 GB would be $1260.
Although these are some of the probable features of the Honor Magic VS, we would have to wait to witness the other notable features until the devices are launched. Honor has declared that the devices will be available in the market in 2023.
