iPhone 6S price slashed

As per the expectations of iPhone enthusiasts, Apple cut down the prices of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus before the launch of the iPhone 7, just the same they did with the iPhone 5, last year. According to Indian Express news, the price of Apple’s flagship iPhone 6s has been slashed by a whopping amount of Rupees 22000 in India. The iPhone 6s with 128Gb of storage capacity, which was priced at 82,000 is available now at 56,000, a price slash of Rupees 26,000.  You can get an iPhone 6S plus with 128 GB at a price of Rupees 70,000 after a price deduction. Post-launch, the iPhone SE (64Gb) has been priced at rupees 4000 less than the original price.

iPhone 7 is launched with storage capacities of 32Gb, 128Gb and 256Gb whereas iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus are available with 32Gb and 128Gb variants. Both the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have been revamped with a newer A9 chipset which ensures faster performance and is more energy efficient, saving a lot on battery consumption. There has been a boost in graphics experience with high-processing graphics chips.

As you read along you will find that the features of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6 are more or less the same with little updates in technology.

Design. Both the variants of Apple iPhone have the same dimensions of 158.2mm x 77.9mm x 7.3 mm. The weight of both smartphones is almost the same, iPhone 7 Plus weighs 188 grams while iPhone 6S Plus weighs 192 grams. Both come with the latest iOS 10.x version and the body is made up of aluminum. The only difference in design is that the iPhone 7 is IP67 certified which makes it more rugged in terms of its resistance to water splash and dust.

Display. As far as the display is concerned, both iPhones have similar specifications. Both the screens are 3D touch, LED-backlit 5.5 inches in size. Both come with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels(401ppi) and a contrast ratio of 1300:1. Both screens are capable of supporting multiple languages and characters.

Camera. The primary camera of both iPhones is 12 MP but the aperture size of the iPhone 7 is f/1.8 aperture and that of the iPhone 7S Plus is f/2.2. The other difference in camera specs between the two is that the iPhone 7 camera is made up of 7 elements and comes with a digital zoom of 10x while the iPhone 6S Plus camera is made up of 5 elements and the maximum digital zoom is 5x.

Apart from these minor differences in the camera, the other camera specs like face detection, noise reduction, hybrid IR filter, burst mode, and photo geotagging are the same.

Hardware. The iPhone 7 is embedded with the latest A10 64-bit fusion chipset with a quad-core processor and 3Gb of RAM. The iPhone 6S Plus, on the other hand, is equipped with an A9 64-bit fusion chipset with a dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. The latest iPhone 7 comes with storage capacities of 32Gb, 128Gb, and 256Gb. The iPhone 6S plus on the other hand is available only in 32Gb and 128Gb capacities.
