Facebook Camera with Snapchat-like Features: Camera Filters and Much More

Last Updated September 21, 2022 By Subhash D Leave a Comment

Snapchat, as we know, pioneered the concept of camera-first sharing and is prominent among teenagers. Facebook, in its new app updates, is going to introduce a Facebook camera icon at the top of its mobile app so that users can instantly share photos or video posts. Facebook has well realized the fact that people are posting more media files like pictures and videos and hence decided to let users utilize more of their cameras while sharing feeds. It is undoubtedly going to be a big challenge for the Snapchat app. The blue giant, Facebook is utilizing the features of its recently acquired MSQRD app for posting feeds directly from the camera.

3 Ways to Share with Facebook Camera

Camera Filters and Effects

Your dreams of converting your selfie into a classic Picasso-style masterpiece of art are going to be realized now. The Facebook camera is equipped with a variety of interactive filters or masks that be applied to your photos and videos. The reactive filters provide dynamic effects like virtual rain or falling snow. You can enjoy the next generation of augmented Reality in this new Facebook in-app camera. This feature is an attempt to stop the younger generation from shifting to Snapchat for its fun-filled camera feed.

24 Hours’ Story

Now, this is the feature to target Instagram users where the stories they share can disappear after a day. With the new Facebook app, you can also share not only one but multiple stories or pictures with your friends. These stories vanish after 24 hours and do not reflect on your timeline. Sharing your story is a simple one-touch process since you just need to tap a “Your Story” icon on the top of the news feed and share any number of photos and videos.

Facebook Direct

In case you do not want to share your pics or videos with all your Facebook friends but only with a particular friend, you can use the “Direct” option. Your friend will be able to see the photo or video once and can reply to it but once the conversation is over, the shared media files will no longer be available.

Ready to Share your Video with Facebook Camera App

With the introduction of this in-app camera app, Facebook has tried to win the hearts of the younger generation by promising more fun and entertainment while sharing cool stuff online. There is no doubt that Media-rich posts bring more Vividness than text-only posts and Facebook has brought a Facebook camera to its community to let them stay connected with their friends in a more exciting and innovative way. Whether it’s a copy of Snapchat or not, it’s a matter of discussion. But right now Facebook users are excited about the new and fun-filled feature that they always missed. You are welcome to share your views in the comments section.
