Google is all set to win us over again with Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro devices scheduled to be launched on October 6. In addition to these devices, other gadgets such as the Pixel Watch and Nest devices will be launched on the same date.
Although we have only viewed the portfolio of these devices, rumors and leaks about the devices’ specifications appear to be quite intriguing. The company made major revelations regarding the various features of the devices during the Google developer conference held in May. So here’s all of the information that you need to know about Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro.
The Probable Release Date
Google Pixel 7 is set to be released on October 6, during the product launch event in Brooklyn at around 10:00 AM. As mentioned earlier, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 pro, and Pixel watch are the devices that are going to be launched. According to the various updates that have been surfacing the Internet, Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro would be priced somewhere between $799 to $899.
Google Pixel 7: The Models to be Launched
During the Google I/O conference, it was confirmed that we would be witnessing two respective models, namely Google Pixel 7 and Google Pixel 7 Pro, during the fall season. However, a third Pixel 7 version could also be launched, and it is not safe to assume that Google will be launching just the two variants of the Pixel 7 series. Although we’re not sure about the 3rd Pixel 7 version, there could be a possibility that the device would have a 120 Hz display and a screen size of 6.7 inches which would be slightly larger than the other variants.
The Design
According to the information provided during Google I/O, we know what to expect for the design of these devices. Google will introduce horizontal camera bars, but they will have some major modifications. In the camera, the panel added, we will now be noticing that the main camera and the ultra-wide camera would now be clubbed together. Additionally, there would be a separate lens which we can safely assume to be the telephoto shooter.
Google Pixel 7 devices are much more compact than the previous Pixel 6 device as it is of size 73.2mm. Also, there will be a reduction in the weight as well, where these devices are 10g lighter and have an average weight of 195g. With respect to the width of the devices, the Pixel 7 is a bit wider, switching from the previous 75.8mm to 76.68mm.
The Color Options
Previously it was predicted that the Pixel 7 would be launched in basic colors such as black, white, coral, and blue. However, recently the company has removed such speculations and has made official declarations that the Pixel 7 and seven pros will be launched in the usual Obsidian and Snow color. Additionally, the pro variant will have a Hazel color shade, while the vanilla variant will have a newly added Lemongrass color option.
Features and Specifications
As per the speculations, Google has been working on the Tensor chipset, which will significantly impact the devices. With the introduction of the Tensor chipset, users will notice an enhanced performance boost and power efficiency. Also, the other major highlight of the Tensor chipset is the AI experience to be included. There is a probability that Google won’t upgrade the cameras of the Pixel 7 Series, which means that it will have a 50-megapixel main camera and an ultra-wide angle shooter of 12 megapixels. With the help of the ultra-wide angle shooter, users can click pictures using the 48-megapixel telephoto lens. However, we may expect some significant camera features to be updated with the tensor processor.
Additionally, a significant change regarding the camera would be the 4K video support which will be a new addition to the Pixel 7 Series. As per the updates, Google Pixel 7 would have an overall size of 6.7 inches. One noticeable upgrade of Pixel 7 from the predecessor would be the added resolution of 3120 x 1440. Also, these devices would have a refresh rate range of 10 Hz to 120 Hz.
So these are some of the significant specifications we know about the Google Pixel 7 Series. Note that most of the information provided above is from unofficial sources and is not entirely reliable. To know everything about the series of Pixel devices from official sources, we would have to wait till October 6, when the devices are finally launched.
