Last Updated September 22, 2022 By Subhash D Leave a Comment

Apple has rolled out Apple iOS 16 for all suitable devices. The update was first made available for public beta or developer beta. The update was first announced at the developer conference held in June. With the update, new features and designs for compatible devices have been added, which will be discussed in this article.

The Supported iPhones

With Every iOS upgrade introduced, Apple comes up with a host of new features and improvements for all its users. With the new upgrade of iOS 16, Apple has tried to support almost every model of iPhone launched previously. However, some devices will not be supported by the newly launched iOs 16. The new iOS software will support only the iPhone 8 and above. The included list has the following models- iPhone 14/14 Plus/ 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max/13 Pro-Max/13 Pro/13 mini/13/12 Pro Max/12 Pro/12 mini/11/11 Pro/11 Pro Max/XS/XR/XS Max/X/ 8/ 8 Plus, and iPhone SE.

How can Users Get the Update?

Getting the update on the devices is very simple. First, you must go to the Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to the option General, followed by Software Update. If the install option is available, you may click on the option, verify and then follow the rebooting procedure to install the update. With the help of Mac or iTunes desktop sites, you may also download the update on a Windows computer. Downloading the update would be possible from the date it was launched. All the compatible devices would be eligible to download the update. However, the update for Apple’s iPad has not been made available yet and will be available later this year.

Updated Features

iOS 16 will have a number of amazing features, such as a lock screen similar to Android 13, customizable clocks and widgets, and editable iMessage texts. So let’s talk about the features elaborately.

Lock Screen

With iOS 16, users will find the overhauled lock screen where they can customize the lock screen with wallpapers, clock fonts, and widgets of their own choice. With the newly updated lock screen pattern, users could now view the wallpapers in a new animated version, much like the Rolodex animation type. Also, users may choose the lock screen according to the Focus mode.

iMessage

After the update, users can edit the messages sent to the recipient. They may also unsend a message or mark any sent messages or threads as unread.

Synchronized Photo Libraries to iCloud

With the new upgrade, users may send a message directly to iCloud from the camera app. Also, you may now send any clicked picture directly to the photo library or personal library. Any edit made to the pictures would also reflect in the saved library.

Fitness Application

Fitness applications will now be available for all iPhones as there would be a built-in motion sensor that would give users the approximate reading of the calories burnt, heart rate, and so on.

Passkeys

Passkeys are the updated versions of passwords with the help of which users may easily sign into the devices. Passkey would never disappear from your respective devices as they would always remain specific to the site they were created for.

So that’s pretty much all of the necessary details that you need to know about the newly updated iOS 16. To experience the amazing new updates, install the upgrade by following the easy steps mentioned.
