How to limit screen time on Instagram
To set the time limit on Instagram, you just have to follow the below steps and limit your time on the application:
• Open the application and go to your profile from the bottom left corner of your iOS.
• Once you are on your profile page, tap the hamburger button on the top right or swipe left.
• On the sidebar menu, tap on the option named “Your Activity”. On the “your activity” screen, you can see the daily average time that you spent on your Instagram.
• You can also see the time spent on individual days of the week by tapping on a day that you want to see and that will reveal the exact amount of time that you spent on Instagram.
You can also cut down the usage of Instagram if you are thinking you are spending too much time on it by setting reminders that will remind you when you will cross your limit each day. You have two tools to manage this.
Set daily reminders
With this option, you can set the time you are allowed to use the app so that your precious time could not be wasted. After this particular time that you set, you will get a notification to stop using Instagram. You can set the timing in minutes and hours.
Instagram also allows its users to choose which notifications they want to receive. They can also mute the notifications for a particular period of time so that you can focus on your work more.

How to monitor screen time on Facebook.
Monitoring screen time on Facebook is almost the same on Facebook as well.
Step 1. Open the Facebook app and tap the settings button.
Step 2. Swipe down to the very bottom of the screen and tap on the “settings and privacy” option. In this section, you will see “your time on Facebook” option.
Step 3. Tap on Set Daily Reminder to set the time limit.
Step 4. Tap on “change notification settings” and manage your notifications which means you can mute notifications and focus on your work more.
You can also add a limit to the screens of Facebook and Instagram by tapping on the settings button and selecting “screen time” and tapping on your phone’s name at the very top of the screen.
After that, from the most used applications, choose Instagram and Facebook and add a limit according to your preferences.
Now that your time limit is set for your chosen applications, you will receive a notification when your time limit is crossed and when you will open the applications after the time limit is been crossed, you will see a message saying your time is up. You can change the settings and extend your time limit from the settings section.
Restrict Time Spent on Social Media
Screen timings in many applications are very beneficial for children and their parents because parents can set timing in those applications in which their children play a lot. When youngsters feel like they are spending too much time on social websites and just scrolling the feeds which are of no use, they can also limit their time on the most used applications nowadays i.e. Instagram and Facebook.
