According to reports, the Redmi Note 12 4G model was allegedly discovered on the IMEI website. This has sparked rumors that the phone may come as a renamed version of the popular Redmi Note 10 Pro. Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone manufacturing company, may soon introduce the Redmi Note 12 4G in India and for global markets.

The launch of  Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G devices was previously suggested when the device showed up on Thailand’s (NBTC) website with the exact same model number.

The Redmi Note 12 4G model, has been reportedly detected on the IMEI database. According to reports, it is codenamed “Tapas,” exclusive for the Indian version.

To quote the update received from Xiaomi reports, “We detected three models in the IMEI Database. Ideally, two versions of Note 12 4G from Redmi, Model numbers 23028RA60L and 23021RAAEG, will be for Indian and International markets. These will not have the NFC feature and codenamed “tapas. ” When we examine the name Tapas, it turns out that it is a term unique to India. This confirms that the non-NFC version will have the codename “tapas.”

According to the updates received, the alleged model number is 23021RAA2Y which is exclusively offered on the global market. This variant, codenamed “Topaz,” will have the NFC feature. The Redmi Note 12 4G devices will be manufactured with MIUI 14. The phone will have 64GB of memory and 4GB of RAM. 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will probably be offered as the storage option.

The phone may sport an AMOLED display, a triple camera arrangement on the back, a MediaTek Helios CPU, and an impressive battery life, though no other specifications have been mentioned. We will have to wait until Xiaomi makes things official to learn all about the precise specifications.
