Methods to Reinstall Windows 10
I will explain two options to reinstall Windows OS. Both methods are safe and won’t delete your personal files.
Option-1 Reset PC from Windows Settings
The simplest of the two methods is resetting the PC or Laptop. This option will reinstall windows 10 while allowing you an option to keep all your personal files and data.
Open Settings and then click on recovery on the left sidebar. On the right side under the first option “Reset this PC” click on Get Started.
Next screen will ask you two options: “Keep My Files” and “Remove everything”. Choose the first option and click next. Now windows 10 will again inform you that all the settings and apps will be removed but your personal files will remain intact.
Click Next and windows will start installing and when the installation process completes the machine will automatically reboot.
Option-2 Reinstall windows 10 using media creation tool.
This is another method which will not only reinstall Windows but also keep all the apps, settings and data intact. So, this is much better option than the first one mentioned earlier. But here you need to download media creation tool.
Open Windows 10 download link and click on “Download Tool Now”.
Once the file is downloaded, click on the file and setup will begin.
Accept Microsoft terms and click “Accept”. In the next screen, select “Upgrade this PC Now” and click Next.
In the next windows 10 reinstall setup, click on the last option ” Change what you want” and press Install.
Now select the first option “Keep personal files and apps”.
After you press Next in the last windows screen windows 10 will begin to reinstall and it will restart a couple of times before the installation completes.
