In the modern era, we are always looking for things that will save us time. The twenty-first-century lifestyle is a busy one, full of challenges and little nuisances we can all live without. We are expected to work for most of our day and then go home and be productive. This can be difficult if you have a draining job.
But there is one other thing that goes with living in a busy, fast-paced lifestyle such as we do, and that is endless amounts of time-saving tech. Or, at least, tech that can save you time if you use it properly. Here are four ways in which tech can save you time on a day to day basis.
1 Use your Social Media- or Don’t.
Contacting everyone to see how they are doing can feel like a chore somedays, but giving them a simple buzz over your social media can be a great timesaver, especially when it comes to group chats. Organizing events has become so much easier, and keeping in contact without needing to remember phone numbers is great.
Another way social media can save you time is by not using it. The average American adult spends 72 minutes a day on Instagram. If you turn off your social media, even during the day so you only limit it to evening uses through time locks, you can save yourself about an hour a day.
2 Repair your Tech Yourself
You may think that taking your broken phone or tablet down to the closest android store can be the only way to fix it. It isn’t. These stores generally keep your phones for weeks and weeks on end, when you really cannot do without them, so it can be stressful and aggravating, as well as very expensive.
Or, you could just fix it yourself. By using online tutorials and sourcing your components from a specialist search engine, such as Octopart, it can be easy to repair your own phone, and time-saving too.
3 Do More Shopping Online.
Doing more shopping online can be a real time-saver. Using your phone to track your packages, food, or otherwise, can be a really great way to organize what you are doing without needing an impromptu trip to the store which can waste your time.
You can also post packages to other people via Amazon, which can save time when it comes to reposting gifts and such.
4 Invest in Helpful Tech
Some tech is designed to help us with our lives. If you are tired of constantly hoovering, invest in a Roomba to help you while you are out. Or, you can get a voice-commanded assistant, and change your home to a smart one to save you time when you are out and about.
Using command apps from your phone can also be time-saving and can boost your productivity. Unfortunately, it cannot run a nice warm bath for you, but it can heat up your home nicely for when you get in.
