Picture Password was first introduced in windows 8 version and is available in windows 10 for a secure login. Picture password allows you to draw lines, shapes or a combination of both on the picture you have selected during setup. These gestures contribute to a picture password. Rather than typing a password, picture password provides a login in a fun way and is more convenient option on touchscreens.
Here are How-to Steps
Step-1. The first step is to open settings (Windows + I) and then click Accounts.
Step-2. From the left sidebar, select Sign-in options and navigate to picture password on the right sidebar options and click Add.
Step-3. After you press Add button in the previous step, a new settings screen will open. Before you proceed to setup picture password, you have to verify your account by providing a password.
Step-4. In next step, you need to choose a picture from your computer.
Step-5. After the picture is loaded in the windows, you can adjust it by moving it in either direction to fit it on the windows screen. If you have finalized this picture, click on “use this picture”.
Step-6. In the next password settings, you have to draw three different gestures which can be in form of circles, any shape drawing or straight lines. You need to draw gestures three times. You need to remember these gestures while login.
Step-7. Once you have completed the previous step, you will need to re-draw the gestures the same way you did before just to reconfirm the directions or shapes. You can start over in case it is not matching the previous gestures.
