How to Update Gmail Signature on all Devices

Last Updated August 18, 2018 By Subhash D Leave a Comment

Gmail Signature is a facility provided by Google that displays your contact information to recipients. It provides much more information than the signatures. Its utilization can be guessed by the fact that a huge number of developers have developed apps to create professional Gmail signatures with appealing designs. You can add social icons, logos, images, links and much more to your signature.

Most people do not know the fact that when they change or edit their signature on the web from their laptops or computer systems, they still need to change or update the same from Android devices.

So, if your contact information is changed, you definitely need to change the signature. While doing so it is good to make it professional and unique in looks.

How to change Gmail Signature on PC

Sign in to your Gmail account. Click on the gear icon on the top right corner. From the drop down menu, click on settings.

Now scroll down the page and select signature settings.

Next, update your details here. You can link it your website to make it look more professional. Select the website name from the signature field, and click on the hyperlink icon to input the website address.

To further improve the signature you can change font, size, and color of the text. You have all the required icons on the signature menu.

Change Gmail Signature on Android Device

Even if you have changed the signature on your PC, it will not be automatically updated on other devices like your Android Smartphone. So follow these steps to add/edit the signature on an  Android phone.

Open your Gmail account on the phone and tap on the menu (three parallel lines) on the top-left corner of the phone screen.

Now tap on settings and select the Gmail account you want to edit.

Next, scroll down and tap on mobile Signature.

Here you can add your signature details To move to the next line, you need to go to the end of the line and tap on Enter. It will add a new blank line to add more information.

“Note: You do not have sufficient tools to add logos or hyperlinks in mobile signature. “

Add Signature on  iPhone

On iPhone, by default, Gmail will pick up the signature from the desktop version like in Android phones. Let’s have a look at this.

It clearly says if you turn on the mobile signature, it will be used instead of the desktop version.
