How to Change Screen Resolution in Windows 10 PC [with screenshots]

Last Updated August 19, 2022 By Subhash D Leave a Comment

Those who work regularly on the computer know the importance of screen resolution. Choosing the right screen resolution on a windows PC is vital for the sharpness and size of the content on the screen. The screen resolution is measured in a number of pixels along the width of the screen and the number of pixels along the height of the screen i.e width x height pixels. Common examples include 1024 x 768 or 1920 x 1080 pixels. The higher the number of pixels, the more is the sharpness of the content on the screen but the smaller is the size of text or pictures. Windows 10/8/7 automatically selects the default screen resolution, color, and refresh rate depending on the type of screen. Having said that, you also set the screen resolution according to your own preference. In this article, we will highlight some easy steps to change screen resolution on a windows 10 PC.

Let’s Find How

1 In step one, you need to right-click on the desktop screen and click on Display settings.

On clicking the advanced display settings, the next pop-up screen will offer you to change the screen resolution. As you can see, for my laptop 1366 x 768 is recommended by windows. The recommended or default resolution depends on a number of factors like display drivers, monitor quality, and video RAM.

You can modify the screen resolution of your choice or that suits you.
