ChromeOS 104 is Out Now: Here’s Everything You Need to Know

ChromeOS 104 has recently been released with several interface updates that promise to enhance the overall user experience. Here are some of the most striking feature improvements of ChromeOS 104.

New Features

With the newly launched ChromeOS, you get dark and light themes that improve your user experience. Users can even customize the theme and backgrounds on their devices for file applications.

Also, you get wallpapers that shift from light to darker shades depending on the application you’re using. The new ChromeOS is definitely more compact and a lot easier to use than the previous ones. Also, users can search for the android applications they’re looking for quickly from the Play Store.

There have been updates with the calendar app too, where the month and date appear on the left side. You may now open the Calendar app or the Google Calendar PWA with just one click, and you will be notified about all of the important upcoming events.

The icon for the Gallery application has been redesigned and launched with a purple color. You may also access PDFs, sign documents, and highlight portions in the documents with the help of the updated application.

With the update, you get a newly launched set of wallpapers. You may also select albums that you can customize with a wallpaper of your choice. Also, you may choose the theme according to your preference from the options made available. The three slides available with the screen saver are- Slide show, feel the breeze and float on by.

Users may also crop out specific portions of self-captured tracks with the help of Region Capture. This feature also lets you decide which part of the screen you wish to crop and share. With this update, you can now choose the tab you wish to share while video conferencing.


Chrome will get updated automatically, so you don’t have to download any other application. For updating the ChromeOS, just click on the three-dot menu icon and check for updates after selecting Google Chrome.
