In the I/O 2023, Google formally introduced its intervention into the market of foldable smartphones with its new launch, the Google Pixel Fold. It was announced by the company earlier that it would be introducing its Pixel Fold on 10th May 2023.
The Google Pixel Fold is 5.8 inches big when it is folded and can easily fit one’s palm. It is 7.6 inches big when it is unfolded. It is much thinner than any other foldable phone. The hinge along which the device is foldable is extremely durable. The weight of the phone is approximately 10 ounces.
The foldable feature of the Google Pixel Fold can be compared to that of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series. However, there are differences that are noteworthy. The company made sure that it does not compromise on quality while curating this sleek, foldable design. This device incorporates the use of a Tensor G2 chipset. It has a triple rear camera – a 48-megapixel main lens, a 10.8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 10.8 telephoto camera. It also has a 9.5-megapixel selfie camera. You can set the device up in the tabletop mode and capture a wide range, without missing anyone out. There is also a new palm gesture that remotely triggers the shutter.
The camera mode has different features like Super Res Zoom with 5x optical zoom, portrait photography, night sight, and real tone. It also boasts the pro-level modules that were found in Pixel 7 Pro. The features like Photo Unblur and Magic Eraser help you to get flawless pictures!
When folded, the device performs all the tasks like answering calls, browsing the internet, etc. When it is unfolded, it offers the benefits of a tablet. You can also split the screen and multitask on two different applications at a time.
Now that we are done talking about the features, let us get into the appearance of the device. The Google Pixel Fold is available in two color options- Obsidian and Porcelain. It has a sleek design and can easily fit in one’s palm.
The device has been priced at $1799 for the 256GB model and $1,919 for the 512GB model. Book yours now!
