Night shift mode is a great savior for your eyes if you work long times on your smartphone. This mode basically changes the color temperature of the display to a warm mode that is soothing to the eyes during nighttime. I recently updated my iPhone 7 from iOS 10 to iOS 11 and unlike in iOS 10, I could not find Night shift mode in the control panel. But do not lose heart since it is still there. In this article, I am going to share the method to enable night mode in the control panel and how to manage it in iOS11.

In iOS 10, if you open the control panel, you can clearly view the big Night Shift Mode button as shown in the image below. In iOS 11, if you open the control panel, you will not be able to locate the night shift mode since it is hidden there. To find it, you need to tap on the brightness icon. Now as the brightness mode opens, you can see the night shift sign below the brightness bar.

Alternatively, you can also reach night shift mode by navigating to Settings>Display & brightness>Night Shift.
Managing Night Shift Mode
You can control the way night mode runs on your iPhone. To save your eyes from strain and fatigue, this mode can automatically adjust the temperature of colors.

Scheduled
Under this setting, you can schedule the time during which the iPhone will automatically turn on the night shift mode. If you turn on the button, you will be presented with further two options.
- Sunset to sunrise. Tapping this option will permanently turn on the night mode on your iPhone
- Custom Schedule. You can set your own time schedule.
Manually Enable Until Tomorrow
Turning this option will instantly switch your Apple Smartphone to warmer mode until the next day same time.
Color Temperature
In this option, you can manually slide the bar to either lower warm or more-warm color temperature.
