Netflix in The Direction To End Choice Fatigue for Users: “Two Thumbs Up button” Rolled Out

Last Updated April 13, 2022 By Subhash D Leave a Comment

Netflix currently stands up as one of the most user-focused services in the streaming space. But Netflix’s huge catalog of TV Shows and movies often causes choice fatigue to its users as it becomes difficult to decide what to watch next.

The streaming service is also well aware of this problem and has constantly worked on the features to help its users in exploring new and interesting content with minimal effort by improving their personalized recommendations.

So, this time Netflix has rolled out a new feature,  the “Two Thumbs Up button”  in the direction of improving user experience and recommendations.

Where to Find this New Feature?

This new feature will be joining the existing “Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down” controls that helped Netflix in understanding the choices of individual subscribers up until now. These buttons were introduced by Netflix in 2017 by replacing its five-star rating system.

How will it Work?

The “Two Thumbs Up button” would act like a super button that would allow the subscribers to indicate that they thoroughly enjoyed and liked the show or movie and would love to watch more of the same. According to the company, it is a highly requested feature by the users for enhancing their experience.

Christine Doig-Cardet told The Verge that the members of the streaming service had never such a huge library of great entertainment options as they have today. So, they want to develop Netflix into a place where users find it easier to choose what they want and love to watch. He also added that they are working to add new features to the streaming service to end the choice fatigue for users and tailor their experiences according to their personal choices.

Go, Enjoy The Feature Now!

Users can use this new feature on  Netflix’s Android, iOS, web, and TV interfaces.
