RealityScan is Now Available for Android Devices

Last Updated July 13, 2023 By Subhash D Leave a Comment

Sources have revealed that RealityScan can now be accessed on both Android as well as iOS devices. Anyone with a modern gadget like a tablet or a smartphone can easily access this powerful application. With the help of this application, photogrammetry lovers can create high-fidelity 3D models in a jiffy.

All one has to do is click multiple images of the object using the smart device and then export them to Sketchfab and then share it with everyone. One can also download the image thus created and use it in other applications such as Twinmotion or Unreal Engine.

It does not cost any money to export the models created on RealityScan to Sketchfab. However, there might be a limit on the number of images that can be uploaded to the Sketchfab account based on the Sketchfab plan you choose. Nevertheless, you will be upgraded to Sketchfab Pro automatically after a year since you upload your first image.

Since RealityScan was launched as an iOS application, it has received an immense response. There have been over 2,00,000 downloads. Many people have created 3D models and uploaded them to Sketchfab. There have been some improvements in the latest version. The newer version of the application has a more straightforward user interface.

There is a step-based workflow that will guide the users through the scanning process. One can also easily detect the unconnected images and delete them, or even replace them with new ones, in the Project Library.

Users can also preview the final outcomes as they will be visible in the Sketchfab application with the help of an embedded Sketchfab viewer feature. Users can also add names and descriptions to images, or edit them.

Alongside iOS, RealityScan is now available for Android devices and is compatible to run on devices that have Android 7 or higher. For iOS devices, it can run on devices that have iOS 16 or higher. Download RealityScan for free now, and enjoy a seamless creating experience!
