The Nothing Phone 2 is Good on Verizon: Only with Good 5G Coverage

Last Updated August 8, 2023 By Subhash D Leave a Comment

If you are a  Verizon-certified phone user, you can lay your hands immediately on the Nothing Phone 2 without much hassle. When a user starts using the Nothing Phone 2, the phone’s mobile data lights up, and the texts and calls also work fine, much without any glitches or hangups.

There aren’t any instances of automatic SMSs popping up, saying that the user is using an authorized device. The user has to be cautious about using the device in areas where the connectivity is mostly limited to LTE.

Let us first glance through the general specifications of the Nothing Phone 2. It harnesses the use of Snapdragon 8 Plus Gem 1 from Qualcomm. The display of the device incorporates the use of the LTPO technology, with the help of which the phone can adjust the refresh rate and save power as and when required. The brightness is pretty high compared to other phones available in this price range.

The Nothing Phone 2 displays various network indicators like 4G, 4G Plus, 5G, and 5G Ultra Wideband. Nevertheless, the VoLTE icon is always visible. While using Verizon, you will see that the 4G Plus network is slightly unclear. New York City has widespread 5G coverage, therefore the phone works fine without any kind of service disruptions.

However, there are some limitations to using the Nothing Phone 2. The Nothing Phone 2 is not compatible to work with band 13, which is an essential component for Verizon’s 4G  LTE network in some areas on the outskirts of the city. Therefore, there might be some interruptions in the remote areas.

Therefore, if you have Verizon and you are planning to lay your hands on the Nothing Phone 2, you will be able to perform all the basic functions, such as text and calls. It is advisable not to solely rely on the phone in areas that do not have 5G coverage. If you have another phone for backup, this gadget will be a good addition to your collection.
