How to Block Callers with No Caller Id on iPhone

Consider yourself sitting with your family, and it is the time to have the delicious lasagna. As you put your fork into the bowl, you get an unwanted phone call without caller ID. What would be your reaction? The answer is pretty simple. You may avoid picking up that call, but what if you get multiple no-caller ID calls? We assume some may switch off their phones, and others may block them. Some may even start worrying.

However, blocking is a better solution because turning your phone off may hamper your work. If you don’t know how to block calls with no caller id, this article is for you. Before I proceed, let’s understand why people get no id calls.

No id Calls usually come from marketers and tele-callers. However, there are ways to block these calls. It is easy on both Android and iPhone. Some iPhone users face issues with this. Do Not Disturb (DND)

You can put the caller id calls on do not disturb mode. You may be aware of the Do Not Disturb mode of iPhones. Well, use that and see the magic. It is simple though.

1. First unlock your iPhone and go to the settings.

2. You will see “DO NOT DISTURB.

3. Turn it on, and allow calls from your contacts only.

Now, move back to your home screen. With this, you allowed calls from those people in your contact list except those with no caller id.

Silent Calls with no-Id.

The new iPhones have newer versions of iOS 13 and up. This updated Operating system has some new features that let you silence the callers with no id. With this feature, unknown calls are sent to your voicemails, and you don’t feel annoyed anymore. However, sometimes, calls from unknown numbers have some essential information. Thus, the calls get recorded, but the phone does not ring.

  • Go to the settings in your iPhone and navigate to the option “Silence unknown callers”.
  • Turn on the toggle button nearby to activate it.

Cell Phone Carriers

This is called the call filter service. iOS gives you a couple of options to block contacts or filter them. The common cell phone network carriers in the US are:

Verizon

Signup for Verizon call filter if you have their carrier on your cell phone. Moreover, you’ll get a lot of features for blocking and spamming calls. Their pricing system is two-tier. The call filter is $2.99/month and $7.99 for a single line.

AT and T

AT & T has its own blocking application. With this, you will get relaxation from unwanted calls. You can pay for the premium version or can enjoy a free subscription. Said that the paid version has more benefits.

T-Mobile

The company offers three plans for its mobile security service. A cell phone plan includes features like “Scam ID” and “Scam block”. Both of these identify and filter out scam-related calls. The premium plan costs $4 per month.
