LinkedIn notifications are important in keeping you updated with critical activities including job opportunities, messages, and connections. However, if there is some issue regarding notifications, you might miss important updates or stay updated on the platform. Luckily there are some troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. By following the step-by-step methods in this guide, you can fix the LinkedIn notification issues and stay updated and responsive.
Notifications Settings
Open LinkedIn on a web browser or mobile app, navigate to your photo on the top, and open “settings and privacy“.
Now click the Notifications on the next screen and you can see several settings related to “notifications you see“. The notifications include searching for a job, hiring someone, connecting with others, messages, groups, and many more.
Now, you select the particular notification settings for which you have issues and make sure it is turned on. For example, I have selected messaging settings in the following screenshot.
Push Notifications
Sometimes you do not receive notifications on your mobile phone app but they are seen in the web browser. In this case, you need to open the messaging from the notifications setting and navigate to InMail settings, here you have to make sure that the In-app notifications and push notifications are turned on.
Disable VPN or Proxy
The VPN can interfere and create issues with receiving notifications on LinkedIn. If the issue persists, try to disable the VPN.
Battery Save Settings
To resolve the notifications issue, make sure the battery saver settings or Low power mode is turned off on the mobile phone.
Update/reinstall the LinkedIn App
If the problem is still there, try to update the LinkedIn app as it will fix any bugs or compatibility issues. The last option is to reinstall the LinkedIn app to fix any underlying issues.
Conclusion
Missing LinkedIn notifications can drastically affect your professional network on the LinkedIn platform. By following the above-mentioned steps such as clearing the cache, updating the LinkedIn app, and checking the notifications settings, you can restore the notifications. In case the issue is still not resolved you can reach out to the LinkedIn support team for further assistance.
