How to Fix When Safari is Not Working on iPhone

Wait! Your Safari is not working. Well, most iPhone and Mac users come across this issue daily. Some start panicking and others Google the cause and solutions, the same way you are here to find the solution. As you all must be aware Safari is a browser used by iOS, Mac, and iPad users. It is pretty common to face browser issues while operating it. But, it can be a daunting task to troubleshoot it especially when you have no idea.

What Causes the Problem?

Test your internet connection

Before starting the journey with different solutions, the first thing is to check your internet connection. If that is perfect, then you must go with other solutions. However, if not, you must fix that first.

Close and Reopen Safari

Often, reopening an app can resolve minor software problems. When the app is reopened, it starts over from scratch. To open the app switcher, double-click your iPhone’s Home button. In other cases, you can swipe bottom to left.

Clean Safari’s Data

Every time you visit any website, your iPhone saves its data, Only in case of using incognito mode, your browser won’t save anything. Due to the generation of cache, the browsers stop working. You can come out of this situation by cleaning the history of your safari browser.

  • Open the settings on your iPhone.
  • Click Safari and go to clear website data and history.
  • After cleaning the history check if it’s working or not.

Screen Time Settings

If you have ever changed the time settings in your iPhone or blocked some irrelevant websites via screen time, remove those settings. Safari does not work with content restrictions.

Software Issues

Sometimes Safari gets crashed, and the reason behind it is encountering unexpected bugs. Due to these bugs, the system gets frozen and fails to work again. However, there is a solution to this problem. Have a look at the solution
