At times we do not hear the best output of sound through our phones and tablets. It’s frustrating when we want to hear a song or watch a video and the volume just won’t go loud enough to reach your dear ears. Here are a couple of ways to troubleshoot the problem and help you get the volume you are looking for.
Tips to Enhance Sound level of your Device
Turn of Silent Mode and do not disturb mode
Go to the quick settings menu and drag it down, switch off the silence mode and put it in general. Also, you need to remove your phone from do not disturb settings from the quick settings menu itself.
Disconnect Bluetooth from various Bluetooth Devices
If your phone’s Bluetooth is on and it is tethered via Bluetooth device that plays the music or sound and the device is not in close proximity then you will not get any audio. The best possible way to solve this is by switching off you Bluetooth from dragging down the quick settings menu and tapping on the Bluetooth icon which will then gray out. You can alternatively deactivate Bluetooth by going on settings to connected devices and then toggle the Bluetooth switch to the right.
Remove any Dust from the Speakers
If you think your speakers are not as loud as they were and you think your phone may be dusty, consider cleaning the speaker. A whip of compressed air can work wonders in removing the obstructing dust and giving you back the loud music you were dying for. You may also do the trick with a clean brush.
Clear any Obstructions from your Headphone Jack
If you think your sound problem is limited to when plugging the headphones then consider cleaning the headphone jack. At times dust and lint get caught up inside the jack when you plug in and plug out the earphones thus giving strange pr inadequate sound volume. You can use a sewing needle or a normal pin to skewer out the bits of lint stuck inside the jack.
Check your Headphones
Even the best headphones do not last at times, the durability goes for a toss. It is hard to tell sometimes if the headphones have reached their lifespan. Your headphones might be dead if they have been repeatedly spooled or unspooled or have gotten submerged in water many times, or if you see small cuts in your headphone wire. If you think the sound problem is limited to the headphones then it is easy to troubleshoot it. Just try out a new pair of headphones and see if your sound comes back. If the new set has given the volume you needed then it’s time to bid farewell to your old headphones.
Adjust Volume with Inbuilt or Third party Sound Equalizer
If you are hearing faint audio instead of completely thwarted one then it’s possible that a couple of tweaks in an equalizer app may change the intensity level of certain sonic frequency helping your speakers to emit better and louder audio. This is also a good solution if your sound is imbalanced and you just need to amp up a couple of frequencies.
